On Saturday, December 7, 2019, The Hidden Genius Projected partnered with Critical Design and Gaming School (C:\DAGS), UCLA Center for the Transformation of Schools (CTS), and TEAM, Inc. to host I Am Tech in West Los Angeles. More than 60 students participated in our catalyst event which exposed them to basic computer science skills, centered around robotics, HTML coding language, and sports analytics.
Hidden Genius Alumni Ryan Barnett (RICH1) and James Green (OAK4) teamed up to lead our design thinking workshop. In this exercise, participants brainstormed challenges that are facing their communities and identified solutions to their issues leveraging technology.
From robot relay races to knock-out, Zebreon Wallace (OAK2) and Cameron Leonard (RICH1) brought energy and excitement into their robotics workshops. Young people and adults had the opportunity to learn about robotics through interactive and hands-on actitivities.
