On Sunday, February 25, The Hidden Genius Project participated in the 7th Annual Black Joy Parade in Downtown Oakland. Throughout the day, we hosted activations at our national headquarters building in our Alumni Center (located on the ground floor) and Ubuntu Center (a Best Buy Teen Tech Center on the 2nd Floor) for young people and community members from across the Bay Area. They had the fun opportunity to participate in creative workshops, meet our team, interact with our alumni, and learn more about The Hidden Genius Project.

In addition, our student alumni proudly marched in the parade on 14th and Franklin alongside other nonprofit organizations, businesses, and educational institutions. At the end of the parade route, we hosted a booth where we were able to connect with more people from our community in celebration of Black joy, Black culture, and Black excellence.
